What is the real skill in seating puzzles?
The real skill is not drawing fast; it is choosing the right representation. A circular arrangement, linear arrangement and floor-based puzzle each require a different setup. If the setup is wrong, the student spends the next few minutes repairing confusion instead of solving.
How should clues be ordered?
Start with direct placement clues and fixed relationships. Leave negative or conditional clues until the base structure is ready. During review, identify whether the first clue chosen helped or created extra cases. Better clue ordering can improve both speed and accuracy.
How should reports be used?
A puzzle mistake should be reviewed with time spent, not just right or wrong. If one puzzle consumed too much time, the student needs a skip rule. If the setup was correct but one condition was missed, the student needs verification habits before marking answers.
